There is a person in prison in Florida, who was convicted of first degree murder of his baby son and is serving a life sentence, without possibility of parole. His son died in hospital and it was determined that the father had committed aggravated child abuse on him.

As a consequence of this event, his 4 year old daughter was taken away from his wife and was used by police and authorities to pressure his wife to testify against him. She refused to do this and was charged as an accessory to murder and their daughter was was placed in extended custody. In that custody, the daughter was sexually molested and physically abused by two boys when her "protectors" left her in unsupervised care with them. Eventually his wifes charges were dismissed and she has been fighting for her husbands release since then.

The mans baby was born premature, weighing only 5lb 9oz at birth. His wifes pregnancy was complicated with maternal gestational diabetes and group B streptococcal infection (which poses a higher risk of infant death). His son suffered in his short life from pneumonia, respiratory distress syndrome and hyper-bilirubinemia. Despite his fragile state of health, he was given the first batch of vaccines at 8 weeks. The day after he was vaccinated he developed a fever and started to fuss. Ten days later he elicited a high pitched scream. He was told by doctors not to worry. Two days after this he stopped breathing. He rushed the baby to the hospital where after certain medical interventions the baby died. Recently, it was discovered that one of the vaccines given to his son DTAP (diptheria, tetanus and pertussis) came from a batch of vaccines that was recorded as being the number one in deaths and in non-recoveries as a result of vaccine, and number 4 in total events reported for all Connaught Labs DTAP vaccines.

This tragic circumstance raises many issues, the two most important being the effect of vaccines and the reaction of authorities who are willing to prosecute a man for murder rather than question that certain vaccines may have terrible unintended consequences.

This man is still in prison and he and his family are fighting for justice. If you want information on his situation and can help in any way please go their website at www.freeyuko.bizland.com. Many doctors, scientists and health professionals are supporting his cause, but they need all the support they can get.
Vaccines are one of the great success stories of modern medicine. But they are still controversial and some people question their effectiveness in relation to the risk involved to children. As more vaccines are being introduced, these issues are more important than ever to consider for the health of our children. There has been a huge debate in England lately about the MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccines, with their possible connection to autism and bowel disease. Although hotly disputed by medical researchers in the UK and the USA, the consequence has been a big decline in the numbers of people having their children vaccinated with the MMR vaccine.

In the UK, there are no mandatory vaccinations, whereas in the USA, children are required to have vaccines in order to attend school. However, each state does have legal exemptions that a parent can sign and the school has to allow the child to go to school. In California there are three exemptions allowed medical, religious and philosophical.

If you want to find more information on vaccination in general, there is an organization called the National Vaccine Information Center. Their phone number is 800-909-SHOT and website is www.909shot.com.
